Located in Burnet Park, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is home to over 700 species of fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals, including the facility's seven elephants at the Asian Elephant Preserve. Food is available for purchase on site in the Jungle Café and concession stands around the zoo.

Morro Bay State Park is home to several natural attractions, the most notable being Morro Rock, one of the coastal volcanic peaks known as the Nine Sisters. It's also home to a natural history museum, a public golf course, camp sites, and opportunities for an array of outdoor activities. The bay's northeast edge is a saltwater marsh that even serves as home to a thriving bird population.

Cheong Fatt Tze, the Blue Mansion, was one of the wealthiest merchants of the 19th century, and Penang Straits Settlement imported artisans from China to build this opulent 38-room mansion. With its five courtyards, carved woodwork, Gothic louvered windows and cast iron, the mansion is a fascinating fusion of East and West culture. The building was restored at a cost of 7.6 million ringgit, and it is crammed with sculptures, antique furniture and tapestries, while now being a unique boutique hotel. However, it is also open for non-residents during guided tours, so book one ahead.

Starting near the Plaza Nueva, this passage along the Darro River takes you to stunning views and lovely places. During an evening stroll you can find many bars and restaurants on your way and enjoy a vibrant nightlife.
