The New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival, one of the largest and most vibrant Scottish festivals in the Northeast, has been running for nearly 50 years and celebrates Scottish heritage with passion and excitement. Held annually at Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, the festival offers a dynamic mix of athletic competitions, music, food, and cultural events. Enjoy thrilling events like the caber toss and other traditional heavy athletics, watch Highland dance and pipe and drum performances, and shop for Scottish goods in the Vendor Village. The festival also features seminars on whisky tasting, Scottish history, and more. Despite its small size, the Vieille Ville (literally "Old Town") is still worth a walk, especially during summer. The gates and arches, as well as the backdoors to small and secret streets, make for excellent photographs, and every corner can hide surprises.

For divers, the outer reefs surrounding Rarotonga and Aitutaki are exceptional, offering visibility often exceeding 30 metres year-round. The dive sites feature fascinating underwater landscapes, including canyons, caves, swim-throughs, and towering drop-offs. While some areas can reach impressive depths, the most popular dive sites are typically shallower. Notable dive experiences include exploring the Alexander wreck near Rarotonga.
