A tour of Thomond Park stadium where Munster beat the All Blacks 12-0 in 1978 is a great place to visit if you're either a rugby fan or just want to experience the city's sporting culture. Tours that go through areas that can be seen only by players and a museum are also available.

According to the written tradition, a Francis-can monk named Joakim Balagović brought Our Lady’s statue from the Holy Land in 1669 as a gift for his brother Nikola who lived just by the road at Trški vrh. When the unfortunate Nikola’s house caught fire and burned to the ground, the statue was found untouched in the ashes. Nikola then put it in the hollow walnut tree near his house and that’s where the first worshiping of the statue began.

When walking down the Rue du Gros Horloge you will, soon enough, come across the splendid “Gros Horloge” itself. This beautiful clock is one of the most famous landmarks of Rouen, and likely the oldest mechanism of its intricate kind still in existence.
