Duval is the most famous and most visited street in Key West. It stretches out from shore to shore, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean, with a multitude of restaurants, pubs and shopping opportunities unfolding before you. Duval Street is not only home to Ernest Hemingway's favorite pub Sloppy Joe's, but also to a rich nightlife. Several times a year the street attracts crowds to take part in diverse festivals that celebrate art, lifestyle, history and culture.

Bonairean landscapes are brimming with vibrant flamingos, the island being one of the world's only four breeding grounds for the pink-hued birds — who get their iconic colour from the brine shrimp in the water. Bonaire's go-to place for birdwatching is Pekelmeer Lake, which is located near the salt pans. It's worth hiring a car to explore the area, but don't forget to bring your binoculars as you can only observe the flamingos from a distance. If you are headed elsewhere, both Goto Lake (Goto Meer) and Lac Bay give you spectacular views of the birds.

Aladzha Monastery is the most famous medieval rock monastery on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Carved directly into the cliffs, it offers visitors a glimpse into the ascetic life of monks who once lived there. Climbing the steps into the rock face is an extraordinary experience, providing both history and breathtaking views. While most of the interpretation is in Bulgarian, the site is still well worth a visit. Located just 3.7 kilometres from Golden Sands and 15 kilometres from Varna, it is an easy and rewarding trip from the city.
