The Haggin Museum, an art and history museum often referred to by Sunset magazine as "one of the undersung gems of California," showcases a remarkable collection of 19th-century art, including works by Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, and J.C. Leyendecker, along with other American and European artists. The museum also highlights local and regional history through its exhibits and hosts traveling art and history exhibitions.

Each year, the Adventist Health Arena is host to a variety of top entertainment, from The Toughest Monster Truck Tour to Carrie Underwood. Various concerts, WWE shows, Disney on Ice performances, and much more come to the arena as well.

Deutsches Museum is the world’s largest museum of technology and science on the Isar River in Munich. You can find everything here from mining techniques to astronomy, with lots of original historic artefacts such as the first diesel engine. Additionally, the museum offers workshops and tours for children. There are two annexes: one in Schleissheim to the north of Munich devoted to aeroplanes, and one at the Theresienhöhe exhibiting all kinds of land transportation. The latest addition to the main museum is the ZNT, Centre for New Technologies featuring Nano and Biotechnologies.

The grand, fairy-tale castle-like main building in Timrå was built in 1883–1885 as a summer residence for the timber magnate Fredrik Bünsow, who was one of Sweden's most powerful timber barons at the time. The architects were Isak Gustaf Clason and Fritz Eckert. Clason is known for designing the Nordic Museum and Hallwyl Palace in Stockholm. The beautiful castle (or Villa Merlo, as it is actually called) is now a cultural heritage site and houses Svenska Cellulosa's central archive. In the summer, you can take a guided tour to see the many rooms and halls that still retain their former glory. Even the garden alone is well worth a visit.
