Qasr Al Watan is Abu Dhabi’s Presidential Palace, open to the public and worth a visit for its grand interiors and insight into the UAE’s political and cultural heritage. The building blends traditional Arabian craftsmanship with monumental scale, featuring vast halls, towering domes, and a 350,000-crystal chandelier. Exhibits cover everything from the country’s governing institutions to ancient manuscripts, and an evening light show on the palace façade wraps up the visit.

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents a demanding and variegated exhibition program at three locations: at the K20 Grabbeplatz, at the K21 Ständehaus and at the Schmela Haus. Around a half-century ago, in August of 1961, the regional government of North Rhine-Westphalia established the Foundation of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. The purchase of 88 works by artist Paul Klee was the “opening salvo.” Since then, the Kunstsammlung has become one of the most recognised art museums worldwide, with a collection which ranges from Classical Modernism to American Pop Art and major contemporary works.

The town of Versailles is a wealthy Parisian suburb and municipality, located 20 kilometres outside the city. In the 11th century, Versailles was merely a country village enveloping a castle and the church of Saint-Julien. Today, it is mostly known for the lavish Château de Versailles, which served as home to King Louis XIV and the summer palace to Napoleon. It also saw the historic signing of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 in the now-legendary Hall of Mirrors.
