di Rosa is truly an experience for the senses. The site spans over 200 acres of vineyard, gardens, and natural landscape in the Carneros Appellation of the Napa Valley. They house an acclaimed collection of contemporary Bay Area art, encompassing over 2,000 works by more than 800 artists. The art reflects the creative efforts of individuals who wished to capture the imagination and innovation of Northern California. From thought-provoking installations to large-scale outdoor sculptures, di Rosa invites visitors to explore both the art and the environment around it. With rotating exhibits and outdoor art trails, there’s always something new to discover.

The picturesque regional park covers over 23,000 hectares along the coast from Viareggio to Livorno. The grounds feature estates and historic buildings and forested walking trails. You will come across organic farms, apiaries, an archeological area, the Navicelli canal and multiple natural reserves with distinct natural environments. Of course, there is a beach area to swim and cool down after a hike. You can find handy booklets and brochures at the Visitor Centre of Cascine Vecchie. Uetliberg is called Zurich’s very own mountain. The 870 m (2,850 feet) summit gives you views of the city and lake, plus a glimpse of the Alps. You can quickly and easily get to the mountain with the S10 line. There is lots to discover: well-marked hiking and bike routes, the Planet Trail walk that takes you on a tour through a model of our solar system. In the winter, the hiking trail becomes a toboggan run. Uetliberg is especially popular in November, when the Uto Kulm summit is often above the blanket of fog.

The Tuttomondo mural stands in fun contrast to the historical sights of the city. Bright colours and fun shapes cover a whole side of a house just off Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Stare at it long enough to see some of the not-so-obvious details Keith Haring put into the work of art. Keith Haring painted the mural in 1989 and this is one of his last public works of art.
