The Emigrants Monument, an evocative representation of Karl-Oskar and Kristina from William Moberg's novel 'The Emigrants', graces the beach promenade in Karlshamn's Hamnparken. Crafted by the skilled hands of Axel Olson, this life-size bronze statue was unveiled in 1959. Serving as a poignant memorial, it honours the over 1 million Swedes who, between 1848 and 1930, left their homeland in pursuit of a better life, escaping the clutches of hunger and poverty. Many embarked on their journey to the United States from the very port of Karlshamn. Olson's masterpiece captures the essence of this historical exodus, portraying Karl Oskar and Kristina gazing out over the sea, symbolizing the hopeful embarkation of countless emigrants on their transformative adventure.

The Scott Family Amazeum is a modern children’s museum with interactive exhibits and learning spaces. Hands-on activities encourage curiosity and discovery, connecting visitors to the land, industries, and culture of Arkansas. Highlights include big-brand collaborations like the 3M Tinkering Hub, General Mills Lift, Load and Haul, and the Nickelodeon Play Lab. An outdoor playscape spans nearly an acre, offering seasonal exploration and experimentation. The venue also hosts events and educational programs for diverse audiences.

The Albrecht-Dürer-Haus is one of the most famous museums and exhibitions in Nuremberg. Between 1509 and 1528, it was Albrecht Dürer’s home and workplace. Today, the building is both a memorial and a museum. The rooms feature period furnishings, and visitors can see a demonstration of the printing procedure used in Dürer’s lifetime in one of the bedrooms. The top floor, meanwhile, showcases copies of the artist’s works. The museum houses a variety of temporary exhibitions featuring original works. We highly recommend taking the guided tour with Agnes Dürer, wife of the famous artist. She gives a faithful account of what life was like 500 years ago.
