Checkpoint Charlie, the most famous of the inner-German border crossing points and a name known the world over, was where Allied border guards would register members of the American, English and French Armed Forces (and their families) before they visited East Berlin. The "Wall Museum – Museum House at Checkpoint Charlie” is right next to this major tourist spot. The museum displays an incredible number of the original means and tools that people used in their escape out of the GDR: from the hot-air balloon to a mini-submarine, plus plenty of real and fake travel documents.

La Corniche in the Ain Diab neighbourhood is Casablanca's hotspot for upscale Atlantic beach clubs, drawing a chic crowd looking to soak up the sun or catch a wave. Lovikka is a small town renowned for its traditional Scandinavian handcraft — the Lovikka mittens. Crafted from felted wool yarn, these mittens epitomise warmth and comfort, uniquely designed to withstand the cold climate of Northern Sweden. Lovikka takes pride in its mittens, even hosting a small museum dedicated to its history and craftsmanship. In Lovikka, visitors can also marvel at the world's largest 'Lovikkavanten', a colossal Swedish glove standing at 3.5 meters, proudly documented in the Guinness Book of Records 2002. Authentic Lovikka gloves, still produced today, are available for purchase, allowing visitors to take home a piece of this rich craft tradition.

Winterfest has developed into one of the biggest festivals for modern circus artistry in the German-speaking world. From the end of November until the beginning of January, only the very best circus troupes get to perform under the big tents in the Volksgarten. Visitors can look forward to an exciting program of side events, compelling acrobatics and a colourful culinary offer.
