Schloss Benrath (Benrath Palace) was built as a pleasure and hunting palace for the Elector Carl Theodor. Today, the ensemble in its artistic unity of buildings, interior and gardens, 60 hectares in all, is considered one of Europe’s rare complete works of art of the late baroque period. The main palace building (corps de logis), with its furniture, porcelain, paintings, etc., gives an impression of court life in the second half of the 18th century. The eastern wing houses the “Museum für Europäische Gartenkunst” (Museum of European Garden Art) and the western wing the “Museum für Naturkunde” (Museum of Natural Sciences).

Tanners' Bridge is a beautifully restored Ottoman-era stone bridge that once crossed the Lanë stream, facilitating trade for the nearby butchers and tanners. Dating back to the 18th century, it serves as an important symbol of Tirana's historical development. With its recent restoration, the bridge offers a glimpse into Tirana's rich history, contrasting with the Soviet-era housing in the background. It is one of the few well-preserved examples of the city's Ottoman past.

The Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active synagogue in the former British colonies. Its interior features multiple low-hanging Belgian glass chandeliers, and it houses artefacts such as the Scrolls of Law, containing the Jewish Pentateuch.

Founded in 1330 and located on the banks of the Daugava River, the Riga Castle is one of the country's most prominent medieval castles. Throughout its history, it has suffered significant damage and seen various rulers and wars. After numerous reconstructions, it is a typical sample of late Classicism architecture. Currently, it serves as the official residence of the President of Latvia.
