Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park, part of Cozumel’s National Reef Marine Park, offers a mix of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and aquatic adventures. Its clear waters are perfect for snorkeling or diving among coral reefs and sunken statues, while the sandy beach is ideal for relaxing under the shade of a palm tree. Visitors can explore tropical gardens dotted with replicas of Mayan structures, learn about agave cultivation during a tequila tasting, or experience a traditional Mayan temazcal ceremony. Sumo wrestling is possibly Japan’s most recognised cultural event. Dating back 2,000 years, Sumo is the country’s national sport, and as such combines religious, athletic, and traditional features. The Bacardí family built a small rum distillery here in the 1950s. Today it's the world's largest, capable of producing more than 20 million cases a year. A basic tour of the visitor center includes one free drink, or you can opt for a mixology class or rum tasting.
