Fales are traditional thatched roof enclosures usually open-sided with sleeping mats and mosquito nets generally supplied. They are located only a few metres from the beach and few have electric lights and beds while bathroom facilities are usually shared. These are a great experience for both couples and children. As most are located within a nu’u – Samoan village – it is advisable to ask regarding village customs and what you should observe to be polite during your stay. Prices can range widely due to season.
