Turtle Rehabilitation

Based at the beachside Madinat Jumeirah hotel complex, the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation project runs in collaboration with the Emirates Wildlife Protection Office. The project aims to care for, protect and rehabilitate sick turtles, while also raising awareness of the threats faced by the marine species. A total of 562 turtles have been rescued and released since the project began in 2004. Some have even been tagged, allowing officials to trace their former patients and learn more.
