What makes this gourmet restaurant and hotel truly unique is the location, nestled within the historic confines of a 13th century chapel. The cooks of La Caravelle, led by Anthony Bourguignon create inspired dishes using freshly caught fish and other sumptuous local ingredients. Sea urchins, lobsters, and sardines are delicately woven into risottos, linguinis and raviolis to bring the taste of the sea to the table in style. Make a pass at the Oyster Bar or hold out until Tapas Hour for something a bit different.

La Place is conveniently located just below the steps to the citadel so its a great station to refuel for those gearing up to tackle them. If their burgers won't cut the mustard, maybe the pizza, seafood, crepes or tantalising deserts here will.

Although prices might seem a little steep at Ciccio, the class and quality on offer here justify the extra pennies spent.
