Sandwiched between the Palatine and Capitoline hills, the Forum Romanum (Roman Forum) is an open-air forum that was once the commercial, political, social, and religious hub of ancient Rome. Throughout the Imperial period, Emperors like Julius Caesar and Augusts expanded the Forum to include temples, statues, monuments, a senate house, and low courts. Today, the Forum Romanum is one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world and offers fascinating insights into Roman civilisation.

In 1998, during the works carried out in the area around Pisa San Rossore Station, the remains of the ancient port of Pisa were uncovered. At a depth of about 5 metres, an impressive series of 18 ship wrecks placed one on top of the other emerged, all dating back to the Roman Period, and now showcased at the Museum of Ancient Ships of Pisa.

Right next to the famous Red Square sits Moscow's first urban park since half a century. Designed by American architects Diller Scofidio and Renfro and inaugurated in September 2017, this massive piece of land in the heart of the Russian capital is more than just a park, it is a breath of fresh air to the city's landscape and a new meeting place for locals and tourists alike. Take a walk around its 35-acre grounds and visit its multiple attractions including: two amphitheaters, a market, a restaurant, a world-class philharmonic concert hall, an ice cave, and a boomerang-shaped bridge floating over the Moscow River.

The Plaza de San Pablo is among the most important historical sights of Valladolid. Felipe II was born in the Palacio de Pimentel on the Plaza de San Pablo in 1527, and as testimony, a fabulous tiled mural relates the life of the king and the history of sixteenth-century Valladolid. In the square is also the magnificent Iglesia de San Pablo located.
