Janko Kráľ Park is a park in Bratislava's Petržalka borough, south of the Danube. It is located in the northern part of Petržalka, bordered by the Danube in the north, the Old Bridge access road in the east, a main road in the south and the Nový Most access road in the west. Located between the Old and the New (SNP) Bridge, this is the oldest public park in Central Europe and one of the oldest central European parks. The massive trees are complemented by small architectural forms: the Gothic gazebo that was originally a tower of the Franciscan Church is the most notable example. Rest in the shade of ginkgo bilobas, dawn redwoods and the gigantic plane tree that is over 200 years old.

The Senedd is the administrative heart of Cardiff, where the National Assembly gathers to discuss matters of political interest. The building is a fine example of modern architecture and was designed to be environmentally friendly, with a sustainable heating system and materials.

This impressive domed building houses one of the largest collections of Impressionist paintings in Europe, along with the best Welsh art. The museum also comprises an archaeology and geology collection as well as a natural history exhibit with giant skeletons of whales and dinosaurs.

The hill on which St Thomas Mount is perched has about 160 steps leading to the top, where the Church of Our Lady of Expectations is located. The church, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, is situated at the summit and is a notable pilgrimage site. The tradition holds that St Thomas the Apostle was martyred on this hill, although the exact historical details are debated.
