El Retiro, an iconic park in Madrid, was once reserved exclusively for Spanish royalty, but it became accessible to the public in the late 19th century. The Winter Hiking Trails consists of approximately 70 kilometres of prepared trails. The trails are partly on the cross country trail map, available at the Information Office in St. Anton am Arlberg, Pettneu and Flirsch.
