St Nicholas’ Church, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana, was completed in its current form in 1701 on the foundations of an older church. The church built by the Jesuit architect Andrea Pozzo is adorned with frescoes by Giulio Quaglio and is considered one of the jewels of Baroque art. Also famous is its entrance door made in the 20th century. The carvings on the main door depict the history, while the postern doors are decorated with portraits of Slovene bishops and Jesus.

Located in what was once a monastery in the village of Susch, Muzeum Susch is a place devoted to exhibiting pieces of art coming from different times, experimental presentations and performances. Most of their lineup changes in accordance with their events, but there are permanent installations such as Monika Sosnowska's "Stairs", a structure made of steel weighing one tonne and measuring 14 metres in height.

Piazza San Carlo is one of the most important squares in Turin's history. It is located between Porta Nuova and Via Roma. During the 19th and 20th centuries it used to be the main meeting point for the elites and aristocracy, and the refinement of those days is still plain to see.
