The Utah Olympic Park hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games as a prime competition venue. It held Nordic jumping, bobsled, luge, and skeleton. Now there are nearly 400 acres of sporting facilities and visitor areas that can accommodate over 300,000 people. Watch athletes in training, explore the Alf Engen Ski History Museum and the 2002 Eccles Winter Olympic Museum. There are daily guided tours of the Olympic competition sites, public bobsled rides, starting in December, and chair lifts to the K120 Ski Jump’s summit.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park is a tribute to the civil rights campaigner who was born and later buried, in Atlanta. Visit the house where Dr. King grew up, the church where he preached as well as his final resting place, and the Eternal Flame at the King Center.

There’s no better place than the Minnesota State Fair to get a feel for what Minnesota is all about. The “Great Minnesota Get-Together” draws over 1.5 million attendees every year and is the largest 12-day fair in North America. The annual celebration features endless games and rides, animal exhibits, and over 400 free concerts. The fair celebrates everything that is special about Minnesota. If you’re looking for an experience you won’t find anywhere else, visit the North Woods area to see lumberjack and stunt dogs performances, and make sure to catch the State Fair Parade at 2pm every day. Popular musical artists visit the Grandstand each year to play to sold-out crowds. The Margaret Mitchell House is where the author of "Gone with the Wind" wrote much of her famous novel. Now a museum, it gives a glimpse into Mitchell’s life and the impact of her book, which remains one of the best-selling novels of all time. You can tour the small apartment where she lived and worked, see exhibits about the book’s history, and learn more about its cultural impact.
