Bonaire

Malta

Malta punches above its weight. This small island nation, positioned between Sicily and North Africa, is home to prehistoric temples older than Stonehenge, honey-stoned medieval fortresses, and some of the Mediterranean's clearest waters. The sunshine is near-constant and temperatures stay mild even in winter, making it one of the few destinations that works just as well in January as in July. History, coastline, and reliable weather — Malta delivers all three.

Lake Balaton

Hungary has no marine coastline, but it does have the largest freshwater body in Central Europe, Lake Balaton. The lake has been popular since the Magyar tribes first galloped into the Carpathian Basin in 896, and it shows no signs of losing its appeal. A collection of resort towns and an interesting bicycle route ring the 77 km long lake. Hévíz-Balaton Airport is 20 km from Keszthely at the southern end of the lake. From there, you can hire a car or take a bus and explore some of the resorts.

Belfast

Having survived almost three decades of conflict and division, Belfast has emerged from its chrysalis with a newfound freshness and vibrancy. Nassau

With a culture and natural landscape as vibrant as its history (it was once declared a “pirate republic” by infamous pirates Charles Vane, Calico Jack Rackham, "Blackbeard" Edward Teach, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read), Nassau is The Bahamas’ crown jewel. The booming downtown makes for some wonderful on-land entertainment. The beaches are its signature attraction, however, with the likes of Cable Beach at its helm. The turquoise waters are some of the clearest on the planet with visibility of over 200 feet!

Havana

From a fusion of Chinese-Cuban cultures at Barrio Chino to visual arts of Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes to an awe-inspiring view at The Melia Cohiba high-rise and incredibly romantic cruise docking Sierra Maestra Terminal, Havana is topping charts just like its musical namesake (oh na-na). As you enjoy a paladar meal or two and rest against some cool, artsy wall, perhaps blue or yellow or pink, you’ll be sure to have left your heart in Havana by the time you head back to East Atlanta (na-na-na).

Taif

Rose fragrance fills the air in Taif, a scenic Saudi town whose fertile lands are dotted with abundant rose and fruit orchards. Nestled amidst the Shafa Mountain range not far from Mecca, Taif was once a major commercial hub for the Arabian Peninsula. Today, it has evolved into a popular summer retreat, boasting excellent infrastructure, breathtaking natural beauty, and a mild climate that offers a refreshing contrast to much of Saudi Arabia.
