A visit to Quebec City wouldn’t be complete without exploring La Citadelle, an active military installation and an essential part of the city's history. This iconic fortress also serves as the secondary official residence of the Canadian monarch and the Governor General of Canada. During the summer months (June 24 through the first Monday of September), visitors can witness the ceremonial Changing of the Guard at 10am. Keep in mind that guided tours are mandatory for visiting, but these are very entertaining and interactive.

Cradle Mountain, at the northern end of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, safeguards part of the Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness Area. The surrounding landscape is diverse and includes grassland, rainforest and ancient plants. The park also provides a rich habitat for wildlife including Tasmanian devils, quolls, platypus, echidna and several bird species. Embark on the Dove Lake Circuit track that hugs the lake shoreline for a pleasant, relatively flat six-kilometre walk beneath the towering spires of Cradle Mountain.

Grotta Mangiapane is the biggest cave of the group Scurati's Caverns. Scurati is a little village with very ancient origins, as the numerous finds happened here can demonstrate. The cave takes its name from the family Mangiapane, who lived here for more than a century, indeed it hosts a very peculiar rural agglomeration composed of little squared houses. Totally different epochs merge together in this unique place. During Christmas period, Grotta Mangiapane hosts a big event called “Living Nativity”, an event where the agro-pastoral life comes alive with some 160 performers, including artists and craftsmen from all over Sicily.
