Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary in Navasota (approximately 30-40 minutes from Montgomery) is dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong care for wolves and wolfdogs that cannot be released back into the wild. Many of these animals come from difficult backgrounds, but at the sanctuary, they receive the loving, compassionate care they deserve in a stable, nurturing environment. It was Albert I who founded the museum in 1910, and today its collections of marine fauna are priceless and unique.
