Maria Island is a natural wildlife sanctuary and off-shore retreat with historic ruins, sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and plenty of stories to tell. The island offers excellent walking and cycling journeys and a limestone quarry at the Fossil Cliffs provides a fascinating close-up look at the many ancient creatures immortalised as fossils in the rocks. The Painted Cliffs at Hopground Beach are beautifully patterned sandstone shaped by the mineral-rich water and wind.

Right in the heart of the Antwerp fashion district is the ModeMuseum, also known as MoMu. Whilst the museum manages a collection of more than 25,000 objects (including garments and shoes) that are not accessible to the public, it does organize alternating exhibitions on specific themes: designer, fashion house or any other fashion-related topic.

Härnösand was founded in 1585 and today you find the Cathedral, the residence of the County Governor and a university in the city. Cultural life is rich with attractions such as the Västernorrland County Museum and the Hemsö Fästning military fortress. Events include everything from city celebrations and dance festivals, to theaters and jazz nights. Nature is right on the town's doorstep, with nature reserves, great beaches and activities for all ages.

In 1880, Reverend J.M. Buckley, a summer resident of Waterville Valley, built the Stone Tower after remarking that "Waterville Valley had everything but a ruin." The quirky 2 ½-story structure still stands today, serving as one of the town's unique attractions.
