This museum mainly focuses on explaining how the human body functions, and even though the texts are primarily in Spanish, there are quite a few interactive exhibits that are easily accessible even to non-Spanish speakers, including kids.

The National Museum Bangkok is the biggest museum in Southeast Asia and a great stop, alongside the Museum of Siam, if you want to understand Thai history and art. It’s spread across several buildings, showcasing everything from ancient sculptures and royal regalia to traditional costumes and ceramics. The collection can feel a bit overwhelming, so it’s worth focusing on the highlights—like the giant Buddha statues and the Bangkok-period royal artefacts. Guided tours are available if you want the backstory behind the displays, but wandering on your own gives a good sense of Thailand’s past at your own pace.

The Bigo lift, designed by Genoese architect Renzo Piano, is a massive spider-like structure with a viewing cabin that lifts you 40 metres high for a fabulous view. Named after King Carol I of Romania, this park, designed by a French landscape architect, offers lush vegetation and panoramic views of Bucharest. You can find plenty of open-air concerts in the summer at Arenele Romane, or simply enjoy the fresh air and green spaces at any time of year. The park also includes several monuments, such as a Mausoleum, the Cantacuzino Fountain built in 1870 and Fântâna Minelor și Carierelor fountain completed in 1906.
