Situated in the heart of the Värmland cultural district in Borgvik, Sliperiet is an amalgamation of art gallery and gastronomy, housed in a building originally constructed in 1903 for wood sanding and pulp processing. Today, the repurposed space seamlessly blends various art forms, showcasing the works of world-established artists alongside emerging talents deeply rooted in the local community together with a renowned restaurant offering lunches, à la carte options, and tasting menus.

Dive into the rich history of New Smyrna Beach at the engaging New Smyrna Museum of History. It highlights the town’s founding by an intrepid group of Mediterranean colonists under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Turnbull, a Scottish physician and diplomat. The Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre features a first-rate Bush Tucker Cafe, an exceptional Indigenous art gallery, cultural programs, accommodation, an events centre, and a Cultural Heritage Research Unit. Special events include Aboriginal art classes, Gumbaynggirr language classes, storytelling sessions, dance performances and workshops, clay modelling, traditional basket weaving, and guided tours of Aboriginal sites. The Wadjar Regional Indigenous Art Gallery showcases the works of regional Indigenous artists, artisans, and craftspeople. It is also home to the Annual Saltwater Freshwater Indigenous Art Award.
