Calton Hill offers one of Edinburgh's most accessible and spectacular viewpoints with a 360-degree panorama of the city, the Firth of Forth and Arthur's Seat. A UNESCO World Heritage site, its summit is dotted with neoclassical monuments, earning it the nickname "Edinburgh's Acropolis". Key structures include the unfinished National Monument, modelled after the Parthenon; the Nelson Monument with its time-ball telescope; and the Dugald Stewart Monument, a familiar city landmark. Importantly, the hill is also home to St Andrew's House, the headquarters of the Scottish Government, and the historic Old Royal High School. Today, the former City Observatory houses Collective, a contemporary art gallery. A short, gentle climb from Princes Street, Calton Hill is an unmissable stop for any traveller.

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, dating back to the late 19th century, is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic landmarks. Distinguished by its copper-clad domes and towering clocktower fitted with a one-ton bell, it was originally constructed as the administrative headquarters of the British colonial government. Today, it houses the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia as well as the Ministry of Tourism. The finest views are from across Merdeka Square, particularly in the early morning when the light is softer and the area is quieter. After dark, the building is beautifully lit, creating an entirely different atmosphere, although occasional scaffolding may obstruct parts of the façade. A visit here combines well with nearby highlights such as Merdeka Square itself, the towering flagpole, and the River of Life.

With its impressive display of Neo-Gothic artistry, the Cathedral of Zagreb was rebuilt by Viennese architects after an earthquake in 1880, and most of the money and creativity was spent on its two spires, which, interestingly enough, are not the same height. One is 104 meters tall while the other one is 105 meters.

At this museum, you will find audio guides and free guided tours to help you understand the work of contemporary artists. The permanent collection is not really permanent, as sections can be re-arranged, expanded, or reduced in the spirit of renewal typical of contemporary art.
