Overlooking the marina, this statue represents The Genius of Navigation. First cast in 1801, it was destroyed during World War II but later restored and has stood proudly here ever since. Affectionately nicknamed "Cuverville" after an admiral of the same name, it also lends itself to the playful joke of "bum-facing-the-city" (Cul-vers-Ville).

This lovely little Zoo hosts a variety of animals. The flamingo show is wonderful and you also get to feed the birds and some of the animals.

The Ashmolean Museum was founded in 1683 and is considered the most important museum of art and archaeology in the heart of Britain. It consists of various themed galleries exploring the connections between objects and activities that are common to different cultures representing the human image. Among its treasures are the greatest Anglo-Saxon collections beyond the British Museum, an important collection of pre-Dynastic Egyptian material in Europe, the world's largest group of Raphael drawings, and collections of modern Chinese art in the Western world.

For a memorable night of cultural immersion, visit an evening show at the Nha Trang Water Puppet Theatre. Water puppetry as an art form originated in northern Vietnam as early as the 11th century and is kept alive by a small number of enthusiasts. Although production value is no match to that of bigger cities, the show itself feels thought out and intimate thanks to the smaller performance room. The show is narrated in Vietnamese, but the visual emphasis and engaging subject matter – folk tales and legends – make it easy to follow even if you don't speak the language.
