The Royal Palace was built, as commanded by the House of Medici, in the late 16th century, and became the National Museum in 1989. Today, it hosts numerous paintings, sculpture, tapestries and decorative art pieces that belong to the courts of the city government, such as the Medici, Lorena and Savoia, as well as some private collections. The building still has the appearance of an aristocratic residence, with fittings and furniture from the 17th to 19th centuries.

The Museum of Fine Arts (Beaux-Arts in French) of la Rochelle has a rich collection of art works. The beautiful museum is located in the centre of town and is well worth a visit. Here you can find art works by Eugene Fromentin, William Bouguereau and Camille Corot.

The expansive Plaza de la Revolución (formerly Plaza Cívica) is an important landmark where some of Cuba's most significant political rallies took place. Part of 'new Havana', this square is the modernist home of the Cuban government (Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba), but is most known for its murals of iconic figures like Che Guevara and revolutionary Camilo Cienfuegos, as well as the city's tallest monument dedicated to José Martí, an independence activist and Cuban National Hero (take the elevator up for spectacular views).

Choose from a variety of tours, many with dining options, from Elliot Bay and Seattle Harbor. The tours provide wonderful views of the Seattle skyline, waterfront and the Olympic and Cascade Mountains.
