Mesaieed is another oiland gas hub in Qatar that was recognized as an area of prime importance in the 20th century. In 1949, it became QatarPetroleum’s tanker terminal, growing Qatar’s oil industry. Other reasons included the deep waters that surrounded the area and its proximity to Doha.Located in the southeast of Qatar, it houses employees of Qatar Petroleum, but that isn’t its only claim to fame. Mesaieed is surrounded by golden dunes and beautiful beaches.

Cișmigiu Gardens, the oldest park in Bucharest designed by Carl Meyer in the 1850s, features a stunning rose garden in the north and a classic French garden on the west. Stroll along its tranquil paths or rent a boat to explore the largest lake, complete with its own island. This charming park offers a peaceful retreat, steeped in the city's history and elegance.

State Theater Altenburg was built in 1869 and was once the Royal Theatre. It is well worth a look inside as it has a beautiful historical interior. Approximately 165,000 people visit the theatre annually.

The Friedhof St. Johannis is one of Europe’s most important cemeteries, as a number of famous personalities, such as Albrecht Dürer and Veith Stoss, are buried here. A very beautiful place, it is also known as the “Cemetery of Roses” as a result of the many roses that grow on the site. The cemetery was commissioned as a result of the advanced council order that no longer permitted burials to be performed within the city walls. A new cemetery therefore had to be built in the surrounding area for the northern part of the city. Why not visit the baroque Hesperidengärten afterwards?
