This long, black lava shoreline is home to huge amounts of wildlife which spends its days basking in the sun on the flat expanses of lava fields or among the surrounding caves and formations. Marine iguanas, Sally Lightfoot crabs, Darwin's finches, sea lions, and lava lizards can be seen against the black backdrop of the shoreline.

Crocolandia is a nature park and small zoo hosting crocodiles, birds, lizards, and other creatures that will make the children squeal. The park also displays some protected plant species. Additionally, there is a gift shop and café.

A centerpiece of Hawaiian culture, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau is a 180-acre national historic park that once served as home to royal grounds and a sanctuary for ancient Hawaiian lawbreakers. Back in the day, those who broke kapu (or sacred law) were given one chance of redemption: evade pursuers and arrive at a pu’uhonua, or a sacred place of refuge. If successful, there would have been a ceremony of absolution, and the law-breaker would return to society.

Set in the Aosta Valley with spectacular views of Monte Bianco, the traditional alpine village of Courmayeur is one of the most picturesque Italian ski resorts. The main hub of the mountain is the Plan Checrouit, but most skiers will use this as a starting point to access more challenging runs on the mountain as can be found at Mount Chetif, Col Cherout and Cresta Youla. At the top of the range there is Cresta d Arp, strictly for high level skiers, offering the chance to experience some good off piste guided skiing. Ski passes are available from 1 to 14 days. All passes valid for 6 to 10 consecutive days may be used for 2 days in one of the other ski resorts of the Aosta Valley, which include the resorts of La Thuile, La Rosière, and Champoluc-Gressoney-Alagna and also include access to Chamonix (lifts on the French side not included, though).
