Boyana Waterfall is a natural waterfall that can be reached going up from the Boyana neighbourhood, Boyana Church. Marked paths of two levels of difficulty are available, but the shorter route is much steeper and better for dry weather. Guided tours are offered by Sofia Green Tour.

In 1880, Reverend J.M. Buckley, a summer resident of Waterville Valley, built the Stone Tower after remarking that "Waterville Valley had everything but a ruin." The quirky 2 ½-story structure still stands today, serving as one of the town's unique attractions.

Tucked into the bohemian Grottes district, Les Schtroumpfs — or the Smurfs buildings — are some of the quirkiest architecture in Geneva. Built in the early ’80s by three architects with a clear nod to Gaudí and comic book weirdness, the buildings look like something out of a fairytale: rounded shapes, bright colours, and almost no straight lines. Locals named them after the Smurfs because they genuinely look like something those little blue guys would live in. The complex houses around 750 families and includes a kindergarten, a dental clinic, and a few cafés, all surrounded by trees and playgrounds. It’s not a tourist hotspot, but definitely worth a quick wander if you’re nearby.

Make sure to be at the Old Town Square, Stary Rynek, at 1.13pm or 9.13pm, to see the moving sculpture of Master Twardowski appear from one of the windows. A character from the old folklore, this wizard puts on an amusing show for about two minutes: he bows, waves and then disappears back behind the window.
