Randers Egnsteater is an independent theatre, established in 2000, and it arranges more than 300 professional shows – both own productions and guest shows – for children, adults and families each year. With its shows of high professional and challenging artistic quality, this theatre also cooperates with Randers Chamber Orchestra, and the Cultural Historic Museum.

Savvy explorers will be sure to visit the Golden Beach, a somewhat secluded area popular among hikers and swimmers, as well as wildlife enthusiasts. Some of the best coral reefs in the Red Sea can be found in this area, so divers and snorkelers can also be found here admiring the depths.

Marvel at intricately crafted puppets as they come to life on a shimmering stage of a water-filled pool, depicting age-old tales of rural life, mythical creatures, and historical legends at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. Water puppetry is a long-established and prestigious artwork in Vietnam, especially in the northern parts of the country. Randers Tropical Zoo features the largest artificial rain forest in Europe, with mirroring the three rainforest continents: South America, Asia and Africa. Observe giant lianas, roaring waterfalls, and more than 450 different tropical plants, and 250 species of animals, and more than half of them walk around freely. If you are brave, you can also get very close to the snakes in the Asian snake yard, or to an armadillo or a green anaconda, which is the heaviest boa constrictor species in the world. For having a break from this wildlife experience, you can take it low with traditional Danish farming animals at the playground, or with a drink and a snack at the cafe.
