Situated within the Department of Medicine, the museum holds the distinction of being the oldest in the city. It houses a remarkable collection of historic European drawings, paintings, and manuscripts. This extensive assortment was meticulously gathered by the collector Xavier Atger and features works by renowned artists such as Rubens, Tiepolo, Carracci, and Fragonard.

A green lung right in the heart of the city. There are several already, but from April 1st you will also be able to enjoy the tranquillity of the Silent Garden at the Archiepiscopal Palace. This green space located between the Wollemarkt and Schoutetstraat will be open three days a week. Take a stroll in the garden and admire the sheds, the Lourdes grottoes, the pavilion but also the garden wall itself, all of which have just been restored. With the emphasis on silence, this little oasis right under St Rumbold’s Tower is just the place to switch off the technology and unwind.

Though it is quite small, the modern exhibition rooms of this compact museum contain a range of interesting exhibits dating back to different periods in the history of traditional Vietnamese medicine. You can easily understand everything with the help of an English-speaking guide.

This fabled park bears traces of its imperial heritage, and it is most certainly worth a visit: apart from a leisurely stroll, you can enjoy one of the best views over the Dnipro river and also take a look at the Mariinsky Palace, the baroque ceremonial residence of the Ukrainian president.
