Near Dubrovnik there is the archipelago of thirteen larger and smaller islands and islets known under the common name of the Elafiti. Among them, the three inhabited islands are of particular interest. Starting from Dubrovnik westwards these are Kolocep or Kalamota, as it is called by the locals, Lopud and Sipan. The MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest water reservoir. Its main purpose is to collect rainwater and provide drinkable water to Singapore’s residents. The MacRitchie Nature Trail is a series of boardwalks that vary in length and take you through the tropical rainforest. The TreeTop Walk — one of the park's main draws — is a suspension bridge that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the forest below. On your walk, you will definitely see some monkeys. They are definitely cute, but can be a little naughty, especially if you are carrying any food.

Pulau Ubin is an island northeast of mainland Singapore. Cycle trails and hiking trails criss-cross the hills, taking you past the disused granite quarries into traditional villages known as 'Kampongs'. Bright blue kingfishers and bulbul songbirds inhabit the tidal flats of the Chek Jawa Wetlands. See a different side of Singapore with a guided kayaking tour. The Marina is right beside the Ribat and a luxury hotel resort which peers over the crystal clear water on the other side towards the beach. Hop on a boat tour to Kuriat Island and, with a bit of luck get, a glimpse of the sea turtles and dolphins that frequent the area.
