If you visit during the summer, make sure you bring water, a hat, and sunscreen, as the area can get quite hot. The Stone Forest is accessible by car or public transport.

The Alcazaba is an 11th-century palatial fortification which stands as a testament to Malaga’s rich Moorish past. You can walk up if you’re feeling active, or take the bus if it’s too hot — it drops you near the top. Inside, it’s a mix of stone walls, arches, and quiet courtyards with views out over Malaga and the port.

The Kipling Garden is considered one of the best-kept gardens in England. Throughout the years, it has consistently earned a high-status award, the Green Flag, for its exemplary and well-maintained horticultural gardens.
