The part of Hoi An most sought-after by visitors is its incredibly photogenic mustard-coloured Old Town, a UNESCO-listed collection of beautifully preserved buildings; some of these still function as private homes, while a total of 22 are open to the public and operate largely as museums. Of particular interest are historic merchant residences, some of which offer short guided tours (the Old House of Tan Ky is among the most interesting), and Chinese assembly halls used for gatherings and celebrations by individual ethnic groups. Visiting each attraction will require one of the 5 admission slips that come with a general Hoi An Ancient Town entry ticket.

Jatiluwih is where you go to really take in Bali’s rice terrace landscapes—without the crowds. These terraces cover over 600 hectares and are part of the island’s traditional subak irrigation system, which got them UNESCO-listed back in 2012. You can walk, cycle, or just sit with a view and a coffee. In 2024, it was also named one of the Best Tourism Villages by UN Tourism.

Old Ad-Diriyah is the ruins of the Saudi dynasty’s first capital which was founded in 1446. Ad-Diriyah is today an interesting place to visit in order to see the once splendid city that witnessed the reformation call and the rise of the Saudi State. It's located 20 kilometres Northwest of Riyadh, 11 km from the city centre.

Many of the archipelago's islands are populated by giant Aldabra tortoises, and bird species number 250, 12 of those being unique to the islands. Mahe Island's Port Launay Marine National Park is the place to head for whale shark sightings, and Praslin Island is home to the country's national bird - the Seychelles black parrot. Cousine Island is where visitors are encouraged to take part in wildlife conservation projects (and spot free-roaming giant tortoises and rare bird species along the way). A mere 3km away from there is Fregate Island, known especially for its chelonian inhabitants.
