The Yulong River is a big tributary of the Lijiang River, flowing along scenic hills, plains and villages down to Gongnong Bridge. Hiking and riding around the river are also good ways to enjoy the view. Drifting on a bamboo raft is especially recommended for views that you cannot see from the banks. There are usually two seats on the raft and space is large enough to have bikes onboard as well. With many docking places on the route, it is possible to choose to tour the river for the whole length or in sections.

Just north of the River Tees estuary, you can experience life on board of a prestigious heritage fleet. HMS Trincomalee was built in Bombay in 1817 and is one of the oldest warship afloat in the world. Step into the history of the Royal Navy, watch old guns and the cannons being set off and see how life on board was like.

The iconic Gateway of India overlooks the Arabic Sea and dominates the port with its majestic figure. Built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911, it is now a major draw for tourists thanks to the bustle filled with vendors and street food.

Run by a family of actors and directors of Bollywood movies, Prithvi Theatre was founded in 1942 and offers shows all year round, 6 days a week, to this day. The facility houses a bookshop selling theatre-related books and DVDs, as well as an open-air café surrounded by bamboo.
