Since the year 2000, Calgary has hosted the largest film festival in Alberta every year, with screenings of feature and short films of any genre, coming from not only Canada but also other countries. During these twelve days the audience is able to ask questions and engage with the filmmakers during panels, film talks and behind-the-scenes events.

While seasoned travellers may venture into Cartagena's gritty Bazurto Market on their own, those not yet toughened by locals-only markets of the region may prefer to explore as part of a guided tour. This sprawling market, where trade starts before the crack of dawn, features incredibly fresh produce and seafood from Cartagena and beyond; much of it makes its way to the tables of local fine dining establishments within the space of the same day. There is plenty to look at and taste, including local street food and multiple succulent varieties of tropical fruit you're unlikely to have encountered before.

The recently inaugurated green oasis (the Indian capital's version of Central Park) features Delhi's first arboretum, with multiple species of trees (including a Bonsai House), plants, birds and butterflies. Mughal architecture dating back to the 16th century still remains on park grounds, along with the adjacent Humayun's Tomb. The city zoo is not too far from here; future plans include linking the two to one another to create one vast recreational expanse.

The National Gandhi Museum has numerous exhibits depicting the life of Indian political activist Mahatma Gandhi. Going back to 1948 when his assassination took place, the exhibition intends to give a fresh insight into the life of the leader of the Indian independence movement and his non-violent opposition and philosophy.
