South Beach, or SoBe for short, is Miami's most popular destination and is widely regarded as the world's ultimate nightlife hotspot. Even Ibiza can't compete with the vibrant energy of this beachside neighborhood. Situated at the southern end of Miami Beach, SoBe is home to numerous hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs, all surrounded by a wide expanse of white sand and the soothing sounds of the ocean. This buzzing scene draws visitors from all over the world who come to experience the unique mix of sun, sand, and nightlife that SoBe has to offer. The neighborhood's trendy bars and clubs cater to a diverse range of tastes–from laid-back beachside lounges to high-energy dance clubs. And during the day, visitors can soak up the sun on the beach, stroll along the iconic Ocean Drive, or explore the Art Deco architecture that gives the neighborhood its distinct character.

The area of 56 997 hectares of the Balaton Uplands National Park mainly consists of these six landscape protection areas: Kis-Balaton, Keszthely Hills, Tapolca Basin, Káli Basin, Pécsely Basin and Tihany Peninsula. Among its regions Kis-Balaton is also protected by the international Ramsar Convention, serving the protection of wetland habitats. Tihany Peninsula – as a recognition of its outstanding geological values and the work of nature conservation in that region – was awarded of European Diploma in 2003. The Natura 2000 areas, covering partly the National Park and going beyond its area ensure the possibility of the conservation of habitats, plant and animal species which are of European importance. The initiative of Bakony–Balaton Geopark – the area of which covers partly the National Park – sets the aim of interpreting the geological, natural and cultural values and awakening the consciousness of their social significance. The Bakony–Balaton Geopark became member of the European Geoparks Network and the Global Geoparks Network – assisted by UNESCO in 2012.

These fabulous mountains of West MacDonnell Ranges stretch for 644 kilometres east and west of Alice, with numerous water holes, beautiful gorges, historic sites and Aboriginal rock art as well as plenty of walking trails, wildlife and good bush camping. Some places are within a reach of 10-20 kilometres from town, so head here and enjoy its rich atmosphere. There are countless walking tracks ranging, mapped out for leisurely hikes to daring multi-day adventures. The 223-kilometre Larapinta Trail stretches through the park and offers extended and overnight bushwalks.

Step back in time at Fort Macon State Park, home to a meticulously restored pre-Civil War fort that now serves as a museum, offering daily guided tours and frequent cannon and musket demonstrations. The park provides public access to the pristine beaches of the Crystal Coast, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Beaufort Inlet, and Bogue Sound. Visitors can explore undisturbed natural salt marshes and estuaries vital to the coastal ecosystem.
