Built upon the remains of a mosque, this church is dedicated to the city's patron saints, whose martyrdom coincides with the traditional date of the city's reconquest, believed to have occurred on July 17, 1243. The structure is a single-nave Gothic temple, featuring side chapels between buttresses that date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The presbytery and the side doorway, known as the Anunciación, are designed in Renaissance style. Alongside the nave, the Baroque Communion Chapel can be found. The main facade is adorned with a grand doorway, also in Baroque style, which was crafted by Antonio Villanueva and Cristóbal Sánchez. Particular attention should be given to the Gothic-style bell tower, which is remarkably slender and likely completed in the mid-15th century. The tower features gargoyle-shaped drains in its corners and sculptures of mythical beasts. Additionally, the clock, commissioned by the town council in 1439, is of historical interest.

The Museum of Folk Art in the historical center of CDMX promotes and preserves part of the Mexican handcrafts and folk art. The old fire house building is filled to the brim with textiles, pottery, glass, piñatas, alebrijes (brightly colored sculptures of fantastical creatures), furniture and much more. Great for a quick visit, but you could also spend hours here exploring all the minute details of artisanal works.

Established in 1877, the Eldora community thrived along the Mosquito Lagoon, with a population of around 200 residents. The town's economy centered on citrus farming, fishing, and timber. However, the devastating freezes of 1894-1895 destroyed citrus crops, leading to the town's decline. Today, the Eldora State House, also known as the Moulton–Wells House, is the last remaining home from the Eldora community. Located within the Canaveral National Seashore, the house has been restored and now serves as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the area's rich history.
