North of Agadir, this 8km-long sandy beach, first frequented by hippies who came here in the 1960s, is considered to be one of the best surf spots in Morocco. It's also well-visited by people just looking for a relaxing day in the sun. Take a long walk north, all the way to the quaint fishing village of Taghazout.

No visit to Baghdad is complete without exploring Al-Mutanabbi Street, the vibrant heart of the city. Visit the Qoshla Heritage Gate and the city's traditional bazaar with its narrow lanes overflowing with colourful displays of fresh produce, sweets, and handcrafted local wares. Inside the market, there are some food stalls, where you can try authentic Iraqi street food at affordable prices. Iraqi vendors are known for their warm hospitality, especially towards foreigners. Don’t be shy to accept an invitation to share a cup of sweet Iraqi chai, as it is a key part of socialising in Arab culture.

Indian Canyons is a true desert gem—an oasis tucked right in the rocky hills just outside Palm Springs. This land, home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, is rich with history and natural beauty, offering trails lined with California fan palms, trickling streams, and seasonal waterfalls that reach their peak flow in the cooler months. A can’t-miss here is the easy-going 1-mile hike along Palm Canyon, a scenic trail that winds through one of North America's largest palm oases. Walk at your own pace under the towering palms, where sunlight streams through the leaves and creates a natural canopy—miles away from the desert heat and noise. At the trail’s end, you’ll find a small trading post where you can rest, grab a cold drink or hot coffee, and take in the views from under the palms.

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Agadir’s walled souk and get ready to haggle for souvenirs. This local market sells spices, textiles and jewellery, as well as delicious local food. If you take a taxi to the Souk al-Had do specify it by name, since some taxi drivers might instead take you to a different souk. You'll recognise the real souk by its ochre wall and the 12 gates.
