Away from the water’s edge, Rarotonga offers some fantastic walking tracks and attractions. Notable sites include Highland Paradise, where visitors can explore traditional Cook Islands culture and enjoy breathtaking views and Black Rock, or 'Arai Te Tonga', which is a significant spiritual site for the islanders.

If you have never been in Northern Scandinavia during the midsummer period, the bright nights are perhaps the most fascinating and apparent phenomenon. The sun doesn’t set at all. You can get spectacular views of the surroundings from the city mountain, Luossavaara, about 4 km outside Kiruna. The midnight sun can be experienced between 27 May and 14 July in Kiruna.

The Haagse Bos, as it is referred to in Dutch, can be found towards the northeast of the centre of The Hague, starting in Malieveld and continuing up to Wassenaar. It is hugely important to the city’s history as some of the oldest trees in the Netherlands remain there after many were cut down for firewood in the 16th and 17th centuries and during the Second World War. Aside from its pertinent roots, The Hague Forest has a lot to offer passers-by such as large open green spaces, a deer park and a pond in the centre, making a great scenario for just about any event or activity.

Atiu, centrally located in the Cook Islands, is renowned among bird watchers and naturalists for its unique attractions. One of its most notable features is the Makatea—a central elevated plateau of volcanic rock encircled by a raised coral limestone reef. This striking geological formation, along with the island's rich biodiversity, makes Atiu a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts.
