A narrow road twists steeply up from Teelin to the dramatic Slieve League mountain and cliffs on the southwest coast of Donegal. The cliffs are some of the highest in Europe and are considerably higher than the more famous Cliffs of Moher. For the experienced walker, One Man’s pass will take you to Slieve League's summit. For the leisure visitor, there is a viewing platform from which you can see one of the finest views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Sligo Mountains and Donegal Bay.

First held in 1991, the Qingdao International Beer Festival has grown into Asia’s largest beer event. Every August, starting on the second Sunday of the month, the festival kicks off and runs for 16 days in the city’s Shilaoren National Tourism Resort. This sprawling 35-hectare 'Beer City' is built specifically for the occasion, where beer lovers from all over the world come together. While you can always grab a Tsingtao Beer in Qingdao, nothing compares to the carnival buzz of the festival. Expect a fun mix of live music, international brews, and plenty of opportunities to sample the local favourite—Tsingtao Beer, of course. One quirky Qingdao tradition to note: fresh beer is often sold in plastic bags. So, don’t be surprised when you see people strolling the streets with a bag of beer in hand. It's all part of the fun.

A well-restored castle ruin located in idyllic surroundings. The atmosphere at Kastelholm, a medieval castle, is magical. During the reign of Gustav Vasa Kastelholm became a royal castle. A visit provides excellent glimpse into the history of the islands and of the castle itself.

You don't have to do without pristine beaches if you are taking the famous road to Hana or hiking in Haleakalā, far from the lively western side of Maui: Wai'anapanapa State Park's black sand volcanic beaches with its cabins and picnic area will won't leave you disappointed.
