Founded more than 150 years ago, the Bürgerpark has more than enough space for people to relax or take part in sport. There's any number of ways of keeping active here – running, cycling, rowing on the lakes or playing mini golf. Children can let off steam in the many playgrounds or visit their furry friends (goats, sheep and guinea pigs) in the open air animal enclosures. The grassy meadows are the perfect place to have a picnic. Alternatively, there's a great selection of refreshments available at any of the park's four restaurants. The municipal forest is located right next to the Bürgerpark. Its lake (also known as the Unisee (university lake)) is a wonderful place for swimming in summertime.

The Port of Spain is the largest cruise port in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The Port has two piers and it can accommodate two cruise ships at the same time. The terminal offers many services and facilities for passengers and crew. It has a tourist information office, souvenir and duty-free shops, cafes and restaurants. Upon docking at Port of Spain, visitors are greeted by a festive atmosphere with calypso singers, steelpan players, and Carnival dancers. Also, there are taxis available outside the terminal offering tours on the island. If you do not want to take a taxi, exploring the city on foot is definitely an option, as the shopping and financial district is only 15 minutes away. As for safety, local authorities strongly recommend walking in groups, especially at night. Other recommendations are not carrying large sums of money and avoiding dark streets or parks at midnight.

This museum is a combination of two historic homes: the home of the 17th century artist Frans Snyders and his neighbour, mayor Nicolaas Rockox. The permanent exhibition brings together masterpieces from Jan Fyt, Cornelis Massijs, Peter Paul Rubens, Jan Sanders van Hemessen, Hans III Jordaens, Jacob Jordaens, Maerten de Vos, David Teniers, Quentin Matsys, Joachim Patinir, Frans Snyders himself, Lucas Faydherbe, Paulus Pontius and Lambert Lombard. In the other rooms, you can admire art cabinets, sculptures, tapestries and ceramics.

For a closer look at Namibia's historic path to late independence in 1990, visit the Independence Memorial Museum housed inside an imposing modernist building in Windhoek's former colonial heart. The museum was designed by a North Korean construction company, involved in multiple construction projects across Africa, hence the socialist aesthetic. The top floor panoramic restaurant is worth a pit stop.
