With its Frank Gehry-designed interior and wonderful collection of masterpieces by Degas, Picasso, Rembrandt, Goya, and Rodin, the Norton Simon is one of Los Angeles's best-kept secrets. The museum is set in beautiful gardens and exhibits one of the most impressive private collections of American, European, and Asian art in the world.

Styggens stuga, once home to Karl Johan Persson (born 1828), sits in Frösaråsen, north of Fredriksberg in Ludvika's western finnmark. This well-preserved cottage, nestled in the forest, offers a glimpse into the past and the intriguing story of its former inhabitant. With informative displays, a well-maintained trail and facilities, it's worth s visit.

Dating back as early as the 13th century, this late medieval building is the oldest remaining parliamentary court still in use today. It was first built as a castle and home to the various counts of Holland, but after several battles for succession, the Binnenhof changed hands many times and, in the process, saw many new administrative buildings erected around it. Extensive renovations are currently underway and not expected to finish before 2028, so politicians have had to find elsewhere to conduct their business. Tours of the surrounding areas are available and more information can be obtained at the Binnenhof Renovation Information Centre, which is right next to the complex.

This fish and vegetable market has been around since the year 1097, and there is frantic activity here, especially early in the mornings. The fishmongers, the bustling scenes, the old facades, and the fascinating canal combine to create a great experience for all senses.
