The Stax Museum of American Soul Music features state-of-the-art interactive exhibits, including videos, interviews, musical and recording instruments, and tons of memorabilia, all of which, when put together, tell the fascinating story of American soul music.

Amersfoort beer has been around since 1323. Because Amersfoort has always had good-quality water, the brewery industry in Amersfoort boomed. After 1800, unfortunately, many breweries had to close down because of rising competition from other Dutch cities. De Drie Ringen was founded in 1989, on the initiative of a bunch of friends. At the nature reserve Silverfallet-Karlsfors, an impressive waterfall pours down over the rocks. The falls are most popular in the spring when the water level is at its highest. The area is rich in rare flora and perfect for a Sunday outing. You can also see remains from the biggest alum operation in Skaraborg, which was abandoned in 1856.
