The Museum of International Folk Art has a history of preserving the arts spanning six decades. In the time since their opening in 1953, the museum has gained national and international acclaim as an accredited art gallery. With a collection of more than 135,000 artifacts, they are home to the world’s largest collection of folk art. Explore the exhibitions covering four wings: Bartlett, Girard, Hispanic Heritage, and Neutrogena.

This little market square in the middle of the city is very popular, both among tourists and the locals. Here you can find many places serving great food surrounded by pretty buildings and beautiful flowers.

Just 2 km off the coast of Fuerteventura, Isla de Lobos is an untouched gem, home to a sprawling nature sanctuary teeming with an array of flora and fauna, including rare birds. Its main beach, Playa de la Concha, is known for its pristine waters. Trails cross a landscape of salt marshes and hornitos (small volcanic mounds) leading to the volcanic marvel of Montaña La Caldera and the historic Martiño lighthouse.

Solliden is the summer residence of the Swedish royal family, which they visit several times a year. Commissioned by Queen Victoria, on the advice of her doctor Axel Munthe, and with Mediterranean influences, the palace was completed in 1906. Munthe was of the opinion that Öland’s abundant sunshine and oxygen-rich air would improve her health, and to this day the royals are happy to enjoy Öland’s sun! Solliden Palace is open to visitors throughout the summer months. Visitors have free access to most of the parks. Café, shop and a pavilion with exhibitions.
