Skäftekärr Iron Age Village

In Skäftekärr, close to Böda in northern Öland, lies an Iron Age village with around 20 well-preserved stone house foundations spread across 10 farms dating from 300–700 AD. At the heart of the Iron Age village are the remains of a chieftain's estate, comprising four house foundations. Adjacent to this historic site, the "new Iron Age landscape" includes a reconstructed version of one of these typical houses and the charred remains of an earlier reconstruction. The park is also home to an impressive collection of approximately 140 different species of trees and shrubs, forming an arboretum. An eco-park center with information about the Böda Eco-park is available on-site, along with Skäftekärr café, hotel, and conference, housed in the majestic main building. For the little ones, a popular obstacle course adds to the day's adventure.

At 452 metres, the Petronas Twin Towers used to be the tallest buildings in the world before being surpassed by Taipei 101 in 2004. Still the tallest twin buildings, they are a true symbol of the new Malaysia. You are welcome to the skybridge on the 41st floor. Petronas Towers are adjacent to one of the busiest shopping malls in Malaysia, Suria KLCC. Ticket sales start at 8:30am and are limited in number. If you plan to visit during the next 24 hours, tickets will need to be purchased at the Ticketing Counter on the Concourse Level, otherwise they may be pre-bought online. Time allotted per visit is 45 minutes, and includes visits to the sky bridge and observation deck.

It was expanded and repaired in 1931 and 1985, and today, it stands as a popular attraction for tourists. Stretching 440 metres long and 10 metres wide, the pier is supported by massive granite columns, with a standout feature being the two-storey Huilan Pagoda, a distinctive Chinese-style structure symbolising 'The Return of Waves'. Alongside the pier is Pier Park, a peaceful spot where visitors can unwind and enjoy views of the ocean and surrounding area.
