Leeds Art Gallery houses an outstanding collection of 20th-century British art, recognised as being of national importance by the government. Do not hesitate to turn to the helpful staff, and do not miss the chance to sit at the Tiled Hall, a unique artistic cafe inside the gallery.

The inhabitants of this idyllic village lived for centuries hidden in a valley behind a huge row of mountains. It was so hard to climb the mountain chain that people preferred to go to Palma by boat. And if they were on a boat anyway, why not go to France? Soller became tri-lingual — Mallorcan, Spanish, and French. In 1911, a tunnel was dug through the mountains so that the people of Soller could finally have better access to their own island. The town's charming little train still runs today. The ride from Palma to Sóller lasts about an hour, and it offers beautiful mountain views.

The Roman Theatre was built between the first and second century AD, on behalf of Quinto Petronio Modesto from Trieste and it can hold about 6,000 spectators. The statues that adorned the theatre are now preserved in the Town Museum.

The Roman Baths in Varna are the third-largest Roman ruins in Europe and the largest in Bulgaria. Built in the II century AD, these impressive thermal baths were once a central part of Roman social life, where people gathered to bathe in both hot and freezing cold water. The site is well-preserved, easy to access, and offers an affordable entrance fee.
