The Röda Sten Konsthall is located by the water, in a former boiler plant, under the Älvsborg bridge. It's an alternative venue for contemporary arts in all its forms, featuring exhibitions, events, and workshops.

The Theatre of Dionysus lies beside Herodes Atticus, and almost all the tragedies and comedies of Ancient Greece were written for this theatre.
