Waller Sand is the latest leisure space in the city. It has been created at the end of the New Harbour district, on the site of a former harbour basin. The park's backdrop of industrial buildings and the historical landmark Molenturm, give it a unique urban charm and provide a wonderful setting to watch the sunset. Additionally, the park has a large sandy area which includes playgrounds and volleyball courts. It is easily accessible by tram or by the Weser ferry. If you plan to go there by foot, it's approximately a one-hour walk along the Weserpromenade.

Founded in 1983, the Bremer Shakespeare Company plays a unique role in the city's theatrical life. The company focuses mostly on Shakespeare dramas; however, it also stages its own productions. During the summer months, the company hosts 'Shakespeare in the Park,' an outdoor event in the verdant surroundings of the Bürgerpark.

Cala d’en Serra is a small, quiet cove up in the north, surrounded by steep cliffs and pine trees. The water’s clear, the sand is soft, and it feels a bit off the radar—even in summer, it’s usually not too crowded. An old, unfinished hotel looms above the beach—locals joke it’s been ‘under construction’ since the ’70s. Bring what you need, though—there’s not much in the way of facilities.
