Hala Sultan Tekke, situated on the west bank of the Larnaca Salt Lake, about 6 kilometres southwest of Larnaca, is a mosque and tekke complex that holds significant importance in Islam. The mosque was built just before 1787, and its current structure was completed in 1816. The complex is set amidst a beautiful garden and stands as a symbol of tranquillity. Ranked as the fourth most important holy place of worship in the religion, the mosque is built over the tomb of Umm Haram, the foster-mother of the Prophet Mohammed and wife of Ubada bin al-Samit, a high-ranking officer who led raids against Cyprus in the 7th century. The Cyprus Motor Museum, founded by Mr Dimi Mavropoulos, a veteran of international and local rally racing, offers a unique experience for classic car enthusiasts. Since its opening in February 2014, the museum remains the only automobile museum in Cyprus, boasting 3,500 square metres of excellence and a vast collection of cars, including a 1912 Ford Model T roadster and a car donated by the US government to Cyprus President Makarios III. It's one of branches of the National Museum in Szczecin, where we present the newest history of Szczecin and West Pomerania region, with particular attention given to social protests and breaking events in the years 1970–1971, 1980–1981, 1988–1989, that lead Poland to regain independence in 1989. The building that houses our museum is partially hidden under the Solidarity Square. The exhibition is interactive, apart from subject-related pieces, in its underground rooms you may see films, pictures and recordings of the events’ witnesses and participants. Location of the museum has not been chosen by an accident - it was here when on 17 December 1970 first shots were fired at the protesters. In July 2016, the Dialogue Centre Upheavals was ranked the Best Public Space in Europe. Four months later, on November 18, the same building was named World Building of the Year during the Festival of Architecture in Berlin.
